Reflections on the Spokane River

This time of year, the river is moving quite slowly, so at times, it's nearly like a mirror. A few photos below.

Birthday Hike at McKenzie Conservation Area

I took my birthday off from work, and went for another trip to McKenzie Conservation Area, which is on the northwest corner of Newman Lake. We had just come back from the west or green side of the state, and I knew that there are small pockets of "west side" at McKenzie. So I got to see the big cedar trees and ferns again. And it made me feel a little better.
