Trip to western Washington

There are nearly 200 pictures here that I took on our honeymoon trip. The state of Washington has some very beautiful scenery. Most of these pictures were taken around Seattle and the peninsula area out by the Pacific Ocean.

This first set was taken at Snoqualmie Falls, which was on the way to Seattle.

Oregon grapes

I found some old steam engine equipment at the Northwest Railway Museum in Snoqualmie, Washington and naturally had to take a few pictures.

A Shay locomotive

The next two pictures were taken by the Seattle waterfront.

Next, we visited Pike Place Market which is near the Seattle waterfront.

Somebody would pull a string behind the counter to wiggle the fish when children came close.

Interesting names on these bottles of hot sauce!!!

Then, we visited the Seattle Aquarium.

We found Nemo!!!

Really neat underwater dome aquarium

Back out to the Seattle waterfront.

Our visit to the Space Needle.

Looking down from 520 feet up.

Loved the spiders painted on the building!!!
Next, we visited Chihuly Gardens and Glass. This place is simply breath-taking.

Reflection of the Space Needle on one of the huge glass ornaments outside.

If someone feels rich, you want to buy this for me? LOL

The Edmonds-Kingston Ferry ride.

The huge white peak in the center of the photo is Mt. Rainier.

The Seattle skyline, complete with the Space Needle and Mt. Rainier to the right.
A couple of pictures from our short stop in Port Townsend, WA

A deer that walked up behind us.

My first visit to a rain forest.

Scary monster???

On the big branches, the moss drapes down both sides.

Wow!!!

The driftwood that washes out of the rain forest litters the beach.

Look at the sag on those wires!

A neat little park I found while out walking

These signs, located on the bridge walkway, explain the local geology.
